When it comes to travelling, Dubai is a must see. From breath taking scenery and record breaking architectures, to vast deserts and traditional quarters, Dubai has it all.. While all these wonders are here, man made islands are just off the coast. Here are a few magnificent places to visit in Dubai and to tick down on your list.

1. Burj Khalifa, standing at 828 metres tall the world renowned Burj Khalifa is hard to miss. Being the worlds tallest standing tower, it dominates the Dubai skyline. Just even looking at a picture of the Burj Khaifa is marvelous, but the true magnificence can only be experienced from right in front of it, better off from the observation deck on the 124th floor of this skyscraper. The view is absolutely stunning and is only topped by the view from the luxurious lounge on 128th floor.


2. The Palm Jumeirah, the island charm. There is a reason why the locals of Dubai say Only in Dubai, this man made island, in the shape of a palm tree is one of the biggest mad made islands in the world and is a triumph of human ingenuity. Locals and tourists alike, people from over the world enjoy The Palm Jumeirah as well as the outstanding restaurants on the island. With all that, a monorail runs through the island and in result nothing could make it easier to get to the island.

3. Dubai Creek, the ancient trade routes. Dubai may be famous because of its glitz and glamour, some may say because of its skyscrapers, but the heart of the country is, and will always be the Creek. This saltwater creek was essential and vital for Dubai's main forms of economy, diving for pearls and for fishing. Nowadays, this creek is awash with the history of the emirate, as it is home to the Dubai Museum as well as the alleyways gold, spice, and textile souks. While at the Creek, a ride across the water is a must, with a unbelievable price at 1AED per ticket.

4. The Desert of Dubai . Less than 20 minutes of driving from the modernist streets of the downtown, you can experience the marvels of the Arabian Desert which was the original tourist attraction of Dubai. Try the desert safari with quad biking and sandboarding followed by traditional barbecues and camel riding. If you are not interested in this, then you can just drive out and experience the wonders of the desert on your own adventure.
