One of the most frequent ordeals that entrepreneurs who start their journey with an online store go through is that of search engine positioning. Many times, for reasons that are incomprehensible to the naked eye, search engines and especially Google does not seem to make good friends with our store.

As much as we strive to use all the SEO techniques, there have been and for having, no matter how much our manager in this regard goes a thousand times over, there is no way to climb the search ranking.

In many cases, the reason is quite simple: as long as we are a young online store, it is normal that we are in the lowest positions in Google. But when months go by, and this continues, we may be facing a different problem. One of the aspects that can influence is the fact of not having a properly structured sitemap. The sitemap is nothing more than the framework of a web page in html or xml, in which all the ramifications, sections, and divisions of it are shown. It is important that our sitemap is intuitive and easy for our visitors, but it is no less important than it is friendly and easy to understand for Google and other search engines.

What are the fundamental aspects of the sitemap of our online store? Beyond the technicians, who must know our programmer, we must keep in mind that a correct sitemap must follow a coherent and well-organized hierarchy. It must be clear, as we have commented, It is normal that as we grow, more sections are added, but that should not mean that the final result is blurred or agility in navigation is lost.

The titles of our products are a very important aspect that we must take care of. We have discussed our relevance on our blog so that our visitors know exactly what they are up to and to get friendly urls. The basic rule is that they be short and descriptive.

If we find a product that does not easily meet these two requirements, we will have to use our imagination and synthesis capacity to achieve it, without the title in question remaining unique on the page (it will not be beneficial for us are repeated, and it is something that we will have to avoid as much as possible).

Naturally, the best way to ensure we have a good sitemap is to test until we get the optimal result. On the Internet, we will find, just by tracing a little, more than a free tool that will allow us to do this.
