An online store needs to have a number of features to attract consumers. The website needs to be user-friendly and eye-catching as well. However, if the navigation process is not smooth enough, it will be tough to keep visitors on the website. Thus, the website layout is quite important. To be successful any online store needs to have a few must-have features. These include the following

It is necessary to have detailed product descriptions. No matter how good your products are, they are of no use until they have good product descriptions. Unfortunately, this is one of the most ignored features. If you have an online store, you need to ensure that each product has an extensive and clear description. It is a good idea to use bullet points which ensures that the description is easy to read, it is concise and transparent. Whenever any product description is concise it becomes easy to read.

Having good quality product images along with thumbnails and zoom option is also quite necessary. If the images are small in size or blurred, consumers will have a tough time understanding how the image will be. It is necessary to include at least 3 good quality images so that the product can be seen from different angles.

Demo videos are also quite popular these days. With demo videos, consumers can be familiar with the products. It encourages customers to purchase the products. However, the videos should be of good quality, they should be nicely integrated and should not have any ad. Your consumers need to know more about your different products and this is possible through different comments and reviews. Research reveals that sixty three percent of the users have shown an inclination to purchase products which have reviews.

Content also plays an important role in the success of an online store. The About Us page should be engaging and information. Include a short history about your business. Add information related to your founding date, owners, headquarters and more. You need to be professional and friendly. It is also important to include a FAQ section so that all basic questions of the consumers are answered.

Last, but not the least, you need to ensure that your online store is mobile responsive. Include payment options, pictures, videos and ensure that these are easily accessible on different mobile devices and desktop.
