Fishy E-mails Phishing is a common tactic of scammers. This is a way to steal information through email. This is a 100% scam if you find that the sender doesn t send the mail from the ID of the official company. These usually have misspellings they are poorly written and full of errors. People are scammed because they usually come in just a few minutes after a purchase is made. In case you have any such email, never click on the body of the email. Simply delete the e-mail and save yourself.
Be Careful with Your Passwords Ensure that these are not easy. Never use passwords which are easy to guess like your name followed by your birth date. Instead, try to have a complicated password. Make it an assortment of letters, numbers, special characters, and odd qwords. Remember to create separate passwords for your different online accounts. If you find it tough to remember your passwords, you can use a password management system.
Fake Coupon Sites Are Dangerous If you love coupons and often use them, you need to be careful. Check the site where you have the coupon posted. When you click the link, the coupon will take you to another site check where the site is taking you. This is where most people are scammed. Instead of taking to the brand or the company site, you will find fake URL s like target-holidazz.xyz. In case you find the discount is too good or a lot, it is certainly fake.
Scammy Domain Name Most websites will have simple URLS which often have the trademark as the domain. The name of the company usually matches the domain name. However, if you come across an online store that has certain extra words in its URL such as super discounts or sales or deals , there is a high chance it is a scam website.
No Contact Details Whenever you are shopping online and it is a new website, check the contact information. Is there an address or a phone number? Most scammy websites will not have contact details or any details about company management. If you find it suspicious, try calling their number.
Be careful when you shop online and do not get scammed or lose your hard-earned money.
