Covid-19 has hugely influenced our lives from every aspect. The pandemic made all of us stay in our homes and be extra cautious while interacting with others. All of us are so threatened by this deadly virus that now corona has become our new phobia. We are isolating ourselves from others for quite a long time now. This has a significant impact on our mental health. Some of us are dealing with the isolation correctly, but the rest of us is too scared even to step outside the house.

One can observe their own daily activities and thought processes to understand if they have a corona phobia. A person with corona phobia will be unnecessarily cautious. They may do things like wearing mask and gloves all the time, washing hands too many times, avoid going outside even if there is any necessary, checking their body now and then to look for any corona symptoms, suffering from excessive stress, sleeplessness, and constantly worrying about getting affected by corona.

None of the symptoms are dangerous separately, but if they occur in someone simultaneously, then things change. This excessive fear can weaken the health of someone. It is not only about physical health. Corona phobia affects mental health severely. Restlessness, worrying, tension, stress, anxiety, and so many things affect their daily life and also people who are surrounding them.

Now the question arises, how to overcome this phobia. There are a few things we need to understand to overcome this fear. Being aware and being paralyzed are two different things. If we are aware of the virus, then it is good for us. We can take the necessary measurements, but if we are paralyzed with fear, we can never think logically and take proper steps.

Focusing on the negative and devastating news makes one more anxious. If one is already sacred, they should avoid such news because it will only increase stress. Instead, they should focus on positive happenings and cultivate some good habits to keep their mind busy.

One must also look at the positive side of the situation. There are many recoveries from corona. The death cases are quite less than the recovered cases. So it is not a fatal disease. And if we worry too much about the corona, we can get sick of other diseases.

If we check our bodies too often and look for symptoms, we may notice many insignificant things and consider them as corona effects. So we must stop examining our bodies too much. This may become a habit causing mental illness. All of us are going through a tough time. So keeping our mind sane and logical is very crucial. So, all of us should be aware of corona instead of being afraid of it.
