Fact 1 - The population of Transjordan was largely composed of tribes who took part in the Great Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire. In modern Jordan, those natives, known as East Bank Jordan, are descendants of Palestinian refugees from Israel and the West Bank.


Fact 2 - Jordan has a long history of accepting refugees. Situated amidst the turmoil, it has accepted a large number of refugees from surrounding conflicts.
