Summers are upon us and there is no respite from the sweat, sunburns, and many other issues that the season brings along. Proper hydration and consumption of sunshine meals are the foremost convenient and popular ways to beat the heat. If you explore the regional cuisines of India, you may encounter several such summer special dishes that may make a perfect meal during this season.

Raw Mango Dal With Rice- Known as tok dal, this dish, together with steam rice, echoes comfort for many of the Bengalis. Its tart-sweet taste makes the fruit ideal for inclusion in various recipes in several parts of the country.

Tamarind Rice- South Indian tamarind rice. Also called Pulihora or Puliyodharayi, this dish strikes an ideal balance between sweet, sour, tangy, and spicy flavors.

Tomato Saar With Rice And Papad- This dish can easily be touted as a Maharashtrian version of rasam. Made with tomato puree and a few basic spices, this sweet-sour dish is light on the stomach during a hot summer day.

Aamras With Puri- This Gujarati-special deserves special mention because of its perfect blend of mango puree, buttermilk, besan, and a bunch of spices. The addition of mango puree makes the dish appetizing and summer-special.

Lauki Wadi Sabzi With Roti- Lauki has various recipes across India, but what stands to get into the lot is Punjabi lauki wadi ki sabzi. a little of nutrient for the North Indians, this sabzi gets flavourful with the addition of the sundried lentil dumplings wadi.

Conclusion- If you are tired of the regular meal, try these dishes out from across India to please your palate.
