Motichoor Chaknachoor is a 2019 comedy-drama film, produced under Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Woodpecker Movies Private Limited production banners. Directed by Debamitra Biswal, who has done her directorial debut from Motichoor Chaknachoor in Bollywood.

The film starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty in the lead role. The film was written by Meghvrat Singh Gurjar, produced by Rajesh Bhatia and Kiran Bhatia, cinematography by Suhas Gujarathi. The film hit the cinemas on 15 November 2019.

The cast includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Pushpinder Tyagi, Vibha Chibber as Indu Tyagi, Athiya Shetty as Anita Annie Awasthi, Abhishek Rawat as Pushpinder brother, Vivek Mishra, Navni Parihar, Karuna Pandey as Prabha Mausi, Sapna Sand, Sanjeev Vats, and Usha Nagar.

Motichoor Chaknachoor tries to exploit the small-town milieu. In this movie, you will get two sets of joint families and most of their time passes between eating snacks and trying to seek out for the desired bride and groom for their respective kids.

Annie Athiya Shetty has rejected a lot of suitors arranged by her parents on the condition that she is going to only marry someone settled abroad. So she can live there and also show off to her friends. Pushpinder Nawzuddin on the opposite side wants to marry now that he can accept anybody as his wife. And his mother Vibha Chibber wants a fat dowry against her sons marriage. In time, Annies aunt Karuna Pandey turns her to think about Pushpinder as an option to marry, as he can afford the bills of living abroad.

On the upside, there are some genuinely funny moments. Nawazuddin shines in a number of the comic and emotional scenes. Athiya Shetty makes a sincere effort and completes the scenes impressively. Karuna Pandey because the aunt and Vibha Chibber because the mother makes a sway. And therefore the film soundtrack is pleasant.

Overall, Motichoor Chaknachoor is an amazing film that can be worth watching.
