The movie, Hindi Medium was released in 2017. It is a comedy but, at the core, the film deals with a very relevant subject of how language divides our society. The director of the film is Saket Chaudhury. Writers of this story were Saket Chaudhury himself and Sonu Sinha. Irfan Khan acted as Raj Batra, the main role. The role of his wife was played by Saba Qamar. Deepak Dobriyal, Neha Dhupia, Amrita Singh, etc. other strong actors also acted in this play.

The film is a satire that will sting a lot of modern-day Indian Parents. The story is like a couple from Chandni Chowk aspire to give their daughter the best English medium education. But the problem is that it is an elite school in Delhi. Raj Batra and Mitra Batra the parents did not have any monetary problem to get their child admitted in the school. The main problem is that they speak Hindi only. They did not even have a high educational qualification. The snob elitist school authority did not allow parents and students to express themselves in Hindi. There is a feeling that high- quality education can be done with the help of the English language only.

The movie is really amazing and it is a story of you and me. The film is brilliantly shot on the modern education system and the tension of parents to get their children admitted in the best possible institution. The film is one of the brave attempts that hammered on the present education system where English is considered as a parameter of judging people. People often do not get respect if they do not speak English well and they also feel inferior.

The plots of the film are well-knitted. Irfan Khan as Raj Batra acted brilliantly in this movie. Acting of other actors like Saba Quamar, Deepak Dobriyal was excellent. At the 63rd Filmfare Awards, the film bagged the Best Film award and Best Actor award for Irfan Khan. At the 19th IIFA Awards Saket Chaudhury won the best director award and Irfan Khan won the best actor award. The film is superb and thought-provoking though presented hilariously. It is a film that every new parent needs to watch.

It is one of those movies you can watch with your friends and family. It is a fun movie which comes with a message. If you still did not watch the movie, go ahead and watch it.
