Chhapaak is a 2020 Indian drama film, produced under Fox Star Studios, Ka Productions, Mriga Films production banners. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the winner of Best Director award and Filmfare Award. She has also directed the amazing blockbuster films like Hu Tu Tu- 1999, Filhaal-2002, Just Married- 2007, Dus Kahaniyaan- 2007, Talvar- 2015, Razzi- 2018, and Chhapaak- 2020

Chhapaak is an inspiring story of real-life acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal, who has enhanced as a figure of power and motivation for various women. The movie is a fictionalized story with the primary part Malti, who is assaulted in daylight on the road of Delhi by a fellow of the family, Bashir Khan aka Babbu.
As support from her family decreases owing to her brothers sickness, it was Maltis lawyer Archana, who was with her through her difficult passage. From Maltis PIL to ban the sale of acid to improvements in the acid violence law, her unit of women lawyers, get on the laws. Another main assistance comes from Amol, who hires her to serve for his NGO.
The story gives out a sharp message and is surely a brave effort. Chhaapak is a painful film with a sensitive, yet strong, approach of a monstrous crime against women, and a great story that needs to be understood.
