COVID-19 has created an enormous pandemic all over the world. This deadly virus is affecting a vast portion of the world population. It is more affecting the kids and the aged people of a family. Immunity system helps one to keep our body protected from germs and infection. There are many high immunity-boosting foods that we can add in the regular meal to improve the immunity. The list of immunity-boosting foods is very long, but five of them are mentioned below-

1- Vegetables are great immunity boosters. Each vegetable has its own benefits. Like broccoli has glucosinolates and also is considered as a natural antioxidant. Cabbage, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower are a great source of beta-carotene. Various types of spinach and green leaves have vitamin A, C and calcium. Pumpkin, squash, tomato, oregano and carrots have vitamin A. Carrots and sweet potatoes also produce T-cells in our body.

2- Onion and garlic boost our immunity system a lot. They have anti fungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties. Sulfur in them helps the liver to function properly and works as a great immunity booster. Garlic also has antioxidant and anti-tumor particles.

3- Fishes like salmon, tuna and mackerels have omega-three fatty acids. This helps the white blood cells to be more active. Fishes contain some very healthy fats that help to boost up our immunity system very rapidly. Fishes contain a high amount of protein which makes our body stronger.

4- Turmeric is a herb that helps in detoxifying the human body. It helps to enhance the immune system. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant elements. It is very good for diabetic patients as it reduces chronic hyperglycemia effects from body cells.

5- Most of the fruits have vitamin C, like kiwi, oranges, lemons, guavas, strawberries, papaya and others. They help in producing white blood cells and strong antibodies that protect our body against infections. Watermelon is another fruit that helps to improve our health. It has vitamin A, C and potassium. It also provides glutathione and vitamin B6.

So, these are the primary immunity-boosting foods for kids and parents can easily add them in their daily diet. During this grave pandemic situation, keeping the body healthy and fit is essential for all. Only with a healthy body and fresh mind, we can successfully fight this deadly virus named COVID-19.
