Civilization began with agriculture, and although humanity has changed considerably, agriculture is important. Many countries have their effect in a more obvious way, but the substance is that every country in the world is based on agriculture for one thing or another. Below are a few reasons why agriculture is necessary -

It is the main source of raw materials - Many raw materials, be it cotton, sugar, wood, or palm oil, come from agriculture. These materials are essential for major industries, as many are not even aware of them, such as pharmaceuticals, diesel fuel, plastics, and more. Raw materials are so essential in production that the economic health of a country depends on how many raw materials it has.

It is important for international trade - Raw materials from agriculture make up a large proportion of people doing business internationally. Most of the countries that supply, export them, and trade for materials they do not have. If a country agriculture is affected for some reason, prices can rise, and this impedes the flow of trade. Currently, the European Union is the first trader of agricultural products in the world for both import and export.

It plays a big role in the revenue of a nation - Talking about trade, developing countries still get most of their national income from agricultural exports. While developed countries did not depend on agriculture as much as they used to, their economies would have taken a hit if all exports had stopped suddenly.

It provides employment - The agricultural industry is yet one of the most significant beginnings of work and is growing in several areas. Whether it is serving as a farmer, worker, specialist for agricultural equipment, scientist, and so on, there are a lot of jobs accessible in this area. In developing countries, agricultural jobs help reduce high rates of unemployment. When it comes to diminishing poverty, data shows that centering on agriculture is significantly more efficient than investing in other sectors.

The conclusion - Agriculture plays an important role in the entire life of a given economy. Agriculture is the backbone of a given country economic system. Apart from providing food and raw materials, agriculture also provides employment opportunities to a large percentage of the population.
