Algonquin Park is one of the most well known provincial park in Ontario Canada, and is only second to Banff National Park in being a priceless national park. Also referred as the Gem of the Ontario Parks System, Algonquin Park is the oldest and largest park in Ontario. It covers up to 7,650 square kilometres of parkland and can only truly be appreciated by going there and experiencing it first hand. With over 2000 kilometres of routes and portages, Algonquin Park is the ideal place to start canoeing, you can choose something short or plan something epic.
